    Asharqia Chamber organizing a workshop on Cyber Crimes

    CITC Deputy of Legal Affairs, Dr. Daifallah Al-Zahrani confirmed in the workshop held on Wedensday that CITC is constantly coordinating with the responsible organizations about any cyber crimes committed to deal with when needed.
     
    Al Zahrani explained during the workshop which was held at Wednesday 19 May aims to educate the communityabout the potential risks when using the Web, and its related systems , discussing many relevant topics to cyber crimes  indicating that new electronic systems became possible to identify the offender data information and therefore deliver it to the responsible authorities, noting that the victim of cyber crimes can apply his request  to the criminal investigation which analyzes his request and then move the case to the Bureau of Investigation and prosecutors to take the normal procedures ,noting to the first crime  issued took place in Al-Ahsa and therefore successive judgment came later.
     
    And regarding some BlackBerry usage and the over claims to stop the service said: "We look at the society need, as well as organizational needs of the service balance and therefore no need to stop it.
     
    On the possibility of establishing a court to consider the cyber crimes said that the system isset to eliminate the functions of the disposition in such cases, leaving the issue of technical support to the authority.

    In response to an inquiry about the promotion of unlicensed electronic services in the local market, said that it's considered illegal and its availability in the market does not mean that its permitted and warned such promoters.

    For his part, Deputy Governor of CITC, Dr. Sulaiman Merdad explained that some people expose themselves to be the victim for such crimes by publishing his privacy in websites, as using some social websites as Facebook incorrectly which can be used against him, indicating that these sites are not monitored but the behavior of some could put them in critical situation.

    As for blocking some abusing sites, he indicated that daily requests amounted to two thousand mostly sent by the school students.
     
    And on investing on Saudi talents, he pointed that the authority is determined to deal with some hackers through meetings later on to make use of their talents in a good way.
